As a result of an agreement between the Pro Canale Foundation and the Stauffer Foundation, the Doré Quartet have received four historic Italian instruments on loan: the Giovanni Battista Ceruti (Cremona, 1815) and Gaetano Antoniazzi (Cremona, 1885) violins, the Giovanni Pistucci viola (Naples, circa 1910) and the Celeste Farotti cello (Milan, 1906).
